Day 3: My first love

My first love? Well, I'm only 15 and I've never had a boyfriend, so...I don't know? (You see, I'm pretty uncomfortable announcing who I like on this blog because I'm pretty sure my sister and/or my parents will somehow read this. So...)

Nice weather, huh.

GEEZ! Okay, first love. I'm gonna change it to first crush, because I haven't loved anyone outside my family. My first crush was back in either 3rd or 4th grade on this boy who I'll call James. From what I remember, James was a total class clown and he would always make fun of me. (In a friendly way.) And then, at the end of 4th grade, James went to a private school, and I haven't seen him since. Boo hoo. Oh well.

Day 2

Day Two: The meaning behind my blog name.

It's pretty basic. I named my blog after one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands. (When You Were Young, by The Killers.) The music video is pretty awesome, so I'm gonna include a link. I don't know how to put the video on here directly.

(If you've read any other of my posts, you'd know that I'm pretty much OBSESSED with The Killers. )

Anyways, I really wanted to blog more than once a month, but I forgot my password/it wasn't working. I think I must have been typing it in wrong or something. Whoops.

Day 1

Okay, so this thirty day challenge was something I planned to do during the month of march. Obviously that's just not gonna happen. Oh well.

Day One: A Picture of Me and 15 Facts

This is a picture from my vacation to Utah last summer. I absolutely love this picture; The only downside is you can't see me very well. Let me add another one.

1. I am the klutziest person you will EVER meet.

2. My favorite band in the entire world is The Killers.

3. I haven't had a pair of matching socks in over two years.

4. When I was in 2nd grade, my friend and I were such nerds that we snuck books into Fenway Park (it was a school field trip) so we could hide away and read.

5. I have a cereal obsession. I'd eat it for every meal if I could.

6. the first and only concert I've even been to was Brandon Flowers on 11/26/10.

7. My favorite color is blue. But sometimes it's green or purple.

8. I'm a ginger, but contrary to popular belief, I DO have a soul. ( actually, I'm one of those freaky gingers without green eyes or freckles. )

9. I absolutely positively LOVE to travel. I really want to go to college on the other side of the country. Maybe California or Arizona.

10. I am a girl scout. Yes, you heard me. i'm 15 years old and a girl scout. :)

11. Music is my life. (The Killers, Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac, The Cure, U2, Bright Eyes, Pixies, Aerosmith, Regina Spektor, Mika, Pink Floyd, Billy Joel, Stevie Nicks, Coldplay, Brandon Flowers...I could go on for hours!)

14. I'm on swim team because it is the only sport I'm actually good at (and because I like it a lot, but what ever.

I think I made my last post two weeks ago about how I was gonna do this 30 Day Blog Challenge thing. And then I go and disappear off the face of the earth.

Sorry guys, my teachers kinda went insane and decided that the idea of free time is just plain stupid. (I've been really busy.) Hopefully, I'll be able to start it this weekend. Couldn't Seem To Think Up A Killers Related Title

Oh Monday, how I love thee! Not.

School...Blergh. Geometry is such a pain. Right now we are doing this crazy trigonometry stuff with those sines and cosines and tangents. It all makes my brain hurt. I spent two whole hours of my study hall trying to figure out what the hell I was doing and got absolutely nowhere. Maybe I wouldn't be doing so badly if my teacher didn't completely SUCK. I have a test on friday on all this stuff that I will without a doubt fail if some miracle doesn't happen. I wonder if one of the Killers could tutor me...

I'm also crossing my fingers that my parents let me do track this spring. I want to do it so bad, and they want me to just focus on school, so we'll see if we can find a compromise.

Well, I'm off to study some more and play some piano. I'm trying to learn how to play Somebody Told Me, and it is not going too well.

That Clock Was Tickin' Too Fast

But Wait! Something exciting happened today!!! My family and I went to the Peabody Essex Museum to see this Dutch artists exhibit. Thrilling stuff. (It actually was pretty cool; I was just really tired because I had had a sleepover the night before and stayed up a bit too late.)

So, my sister(Savannah) and I were VERY, VERY bored and basically just wandering around the halls. And out of nowhere, she shouts "Oh my god! THAT GUY LOOKS LIKE BRANDON FLOWERS!!!" I look, and see I guy who literally could be his twin. I actually had to look twice to make sure it wasn't him. The guy was wearing a blue plaid shirt, dark grey skinny jeans, and those glasses Brandon sometimes wears. He was the same height, same build, and look nearly identical to the Sam's Town Era Brandon Flowers. It was freaky!!!!!!

Anyway, savannah and I managed to entertain ourselves by stalking him around the museum. I do hope he didn't notice.

So the day was actually pretty fun. Up until now, I guess, when I realized I had a ton of homework to do. Maybe I'll go eat some girl scout cookies.

The Clock is Tickin'

Oh vacation! Where are you going? Is it Friday already? Yes, I fear it is. That means on Monday, I'll be back at school...NO! I can't think such horrid thoughts!

Anyway, I would just like to congratulate my dear, dear friend BRANDON FLOWERS on winning the NME Most stylish Award. Take that, Lady Gaga! (All because of me, of course; I literally voted 1,000 times) Okay, so Crossfire did not win Best Music Video. That mad me kinda mad, even though I don't think it is the best music video ever. But on the bright side (open up my eager eyes...cuz I'm Mr. brightside!), the Biebster won Least Stylish AND worst album and those JoBros won Worst Band. So that sorta kinda almost makes up for the fact that Crossfire didn't win.

Bye Guys, I'm off to listen to more music and savor these last few days of freedom.

One more thing: The band Bright Eyes (which is AWESOME) is coming here in two weeks. The problem is it is on a school night and my mom would NEVER EVER EVER let me go. So I'm kinda pissed about that. Yep. And it would be at the House of Blues, which is where I saw Brandon Flowers a mere 3 months ago.

The King of Limbs

Do any of you people like Radiohead? I'm just asking because I'm seriously confused about their new CD (The King of Limbs) that came out friday. It seems to be between $45- $55(?!?!?!?!?) and you can't buy it on itunes. So yeah, if you have heard anything else about it, please let me know. I tried googling it and that just made my brain hurt even more.

Anyways, I shouldn't think about this too much because it is vacation, and I'm pretty sure it is illegal to think during vacation.

(Right now I really need to listen to some Sam's Town. It's probably been six hours since my last encounter and I'm starting to go through withdrawal.)

My Epic Running Story

I hardly write two posts a week, never mind two in the same day. But I felt it was necessary to tell you all about my failure of a run.

Like mentioned in my earlier post, it was 50°. Warm enough to wear shorts, right? Anyways, I started on my run, and everything was going fine. The sun was just started to set and the air was still warm and "spring-ish". And then my ankles started to throb and burn. Pretty soon I was hobbling along like an old lady. Running was with any great speed was definitely out of the question, so I figured I better take a short cut across the field if I wanted to be home before dark.

Little did I know that said field was covered in about two feet of snow. Only, I didn't realize that until I had gone nearly 20 feet and it was too late to turn around. So, there I was in my little running shorts knee-deep in snow, stuck in the middle of a damn field. I don't even want to know what all those other, sensible people jogging in their sweatpants thought of me. (Not that I really care.)

So yup, that's my story. Not all that epic, really. Bye.

Brand New Year, Coming Up Ahead

Oh...Spring. It isn't fair to tease me like this. Outside, it is 50°!!!!!! FIFTY FREAKING DEGREES!!!!!! WOW. This is probably the warmest it's been since, oh, maybe september? This isn't gonna last, but I'm gonna enjoy sunshine while I can. Let me pretend it is spring for just a moment. I'm going for a run.

Maybe I'll Give it a Try

Who knows? Blogging could be fun.

UGH!!!!!! Are there worlds to describe how horribly depressing February is? We have mountains of snow and ice EVERYWHERE and I can't walk outside without almost DROWNING in it. That's what happens when you live in New England, I guess.

If only it was summer year round. Sigh...If only I lived in a perfect world. But the only way that will happen is if I go completely, utterly insane. Then maybe I'll be admitted to some sort of crazy folks hospital and I can sit in a straitjacket around thinking I'm in some tropical paradise. Hmmm...Maybe not.

Frebruary. Is. Stupid. But hey, on the bright side (coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine...), ONLY 5 DAYS UNTIL FEB. BREAK!!! Wow, wasn't christmas just yesterday?

INDECISIVE

I don't know whether or not to blog. I had another blog, but then blogging got boring. I'm busy, and I don't have much to say that I'd want to share with the whole world. And if, nobody is gonna read it, wouldn't I just be better off with a diary? I don't know what to do.

Spaceman!

So, I was watching the Spaceman music video on youtube. They have those stupid ads before everything now, and this ad just so happened to be for red bull. Now to most normal people, this is not such a big deal. It is only Red Bull, right? WRONG! Red Bull is one of Brandon Flowers' favorite drinks, and the fact that there is an ad for it before one of his songs...hmmm...coincidence? Yeah, probably. But oh well, it still made me happy.

Now back to studying! :( I really have done a great job of distracting myself today. Stupid fanpop.

All these Things I Haven't Done

Right before I blog, I have the perfect post planned out. And then I sit down to write it, and nothing comes out.

I started this post about two hours ago, wrote a few sentences, and then deleted the whole thing. I left the blank screen up, hoping I'd find some inspiration, but nope.

How 'bout I just tell you all about my life and such. (If you don't care, please stop reading. I won't judge you for leaving me. )

OH WHATEVER!!!! I just need to rant about The Killers. Screw having a normal blog, I need The Killers NOW.

THE KILLERS THE KILLERS THE KILLERS. How did I live my life before I met you guys? What did I listen to before you? How on earth does the rest of humanity survive without you? I don't. Right now I'm happy that the rest of the world doesn't know who you are because you are my secret.

I have yet to right a meaningful blog post thingy. (that is where the title comes from) Next time I promise I'll post something worth reading. But goodbye for now.
